Having dental insurance or dental benefits can make it easier to get the dental care you need. However, most plans do not cover all procedures. Your coverage is not based on what you need or what we recommend. It is primarily based on how much your employer pays into the plan.
When deciding on treatment, insurance should not be the only thing to consider. Your treatment should be determined by you and your dentist. You deserve excellent care so do what’s best for you, not what’s best for your insurance company.
How do dental plans work?
Almost all dental plans are a contract between your employer and an insurance company. Your employer and the insurer agree on the amount your plans pays and what procedures are covered. Many times the dental need is not covered by your plan. If you’re not happy with the coverage, please let your employer know.
Our main goal is to help you take excellent care of your teeth and oral health. We will file claims with your insurance company as a service to you. The part of the bill not covered by insurance is your responsibility.
Make your dental health your top priority. Although you may be tempted to make decision about your dental care based on what insurance will pay, remember that your health is the most important thing. Dental insurance is one part of your healthy mouth plan. If you find out what your plan covers and plan accordingly, it can help you have a healthy mouth. Work with us to take the best possible care of your teeth so they will last a lifetime.
